Super Computer Built with Sony PS3s

Now you can build a Super Computer, at a fraction of the cost of any current models on the market. The internals in Sony’s PS3 are what make this possible. The Cell Chip Processor which was collaboratively developed by Sony, IBM and Toshiba has eight different compute engines making it more powerful than dual-core and quad-core chips used in desktop computers.
Professor Gaurav Khanna of the University of Massachussets used a super computer he built using 8 Sony PS3’s for his research into black holes and quantum cosmology. The computer is running on Yellow Dog Linux. According to Terra Soft solutions, their 8 PS3 cluster is capable of performance greater than 1 TFlop.

Wow I wonder if buying two ps3s and making your own mini super computer would be better than a high end pc
