Lenovo’s Slim Thinkpad X300 to Compete with the MacBook Air

Lenovo Thinkpad X300

The newest super thin laptop on the block, the Lenovo Thinkpad X300 Ultraportable, is even shown on an envelope similar to the manila one that Steve Jobs pulled the MacBook Air out of back at MacWorld.

This super slim laptop by Lenovo will reportedly come packed with a DVD-RW drive, a 64GB SSD, and optional GPS/WWAN capability. It also features a WXGA+ display, which means it is likely to support a 1440×900 resolution, which is bigger than the MacBook Air’s 1280×800.

The new Lenovo is even available with Windows XP pre-installed, if you don’t want to run Vista. I am sure we will see other manufacturers jump into this super thin laptop war in the coming year.
