The Packard Bell EasyNote XS Takes Aim at the Eee PC

It’s now May of 2008 and Asus’ competitors are trying to catch up to the success of the Eee PC. Packard Bell has released its own version of the budget ultraportable (UMPC) - the EasyNote XS.This tiny laptop weighs 950grams and has dimensions of just 230×171x29mm!
Like the Eee PC, its sports a 7 inch display at 800×480pixel resolution. It has a 1.2GHz processor running Windows XP Home Edition. However, in the memory department the EasyNote tops the Eee PC 701 with 1GB of RAM and a 30GB Hard drive. It is only available in a black finish for now.
The downside? It is pretty big on price compared to the Eee PC.
