AMD has officially announced the Radeon HD 2900 Pro after it was leaked earlier this month. The HD 2900 Pro has the ATI R600 processor with next generation unfied shader architecture. It is available in two different variants, the 1Gb model and a 512MB version. (more…)
Hewlett-Packard (HP) is slated to make solid state drives available to business laptop buyers by next month. Solid state drives (SSD’s) have no moving parts making them much more shock resistant. Other benefits include longer battery life, less weight and faster loading applications.
Initially the solid state option will be approximately $1,000 extra, but the cost may not be an issue to people who can really use the benefits of solid state. HP’s VP of business notebooks, Dan Forenza, said that he expects costs to come down as solid state drives gain acceptance in the marketplace and volumes increase. (more…)
The new Sony VAIO LT All in One PC / TV has been released. It has a sleek ‘iMac like’ white exterior and and a 22″ X-Brite Hi Color display. On the inside it has an optional Blu-ray burner, an Intel® Core 2 Duo processor and 2GB of RAM.
